Facing west, the hotel benefits from abundant natural light and opens onto a large square courtyard furnished with tables and chairs, ideal for relaxing with a view of the mountain range.

A bit of history: the name of the hotel

The name Le Connetable has its roots in French history. Originally, the "constable"—from the Latin comes stabuli, meaning "count of the stables"—was in charge of the king's stables and horses.

Over the centuries, this position grew in importance: the constable gradually became one of the highest dignitaries in the kingdom, eventually being appointed, after 1191, Sovereign Commander of the king's armies.

This name resonates with local history: the last Constable of France, François de Bonne de Lesdiguières, was closely linked to Saint-Bonnet-en-Champsaur. A prominent figure in the region, he embodies the strong link between national heritage and the Champaur territory. Through this name, our hotel pays homage to the history and identity of the valley, encompassing heritage, character, and local roots.

They can accommodate from 1 to 5 people, making them ideal for families, sports teams, or business trips. Check-in is between 4 pm and 8 pm, and check-out is before 11 am on the day of departure. Here, the night is peaceful, and you'll wake up to the gentle beauty of the Champsaur valley.
